Life as an Exercise To Music Instructor is a permanent break from routine. Typically you’ll be self-employed, dividing your time between studio bookings at a number of leisure centres. It means varied and flexible working hours… and a fabulous work-life balance!
Your Exercise To Music course includes:
Exercise To Music (Stage 1)
An Exercise to Music Instructor needs a good foundation in health & fitness. So we start with a grounding in anatomy and physiology of the major body systems, before moving onto the concepts and components of fitness.
Exercise To Music (Stage 2)
Moving to Premier’s London Academy, we switch to the practical side. This stage covers music appreciation, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, along with instructional skills, choreography, aerobic theory and teaching practice.
Entry requirements:
(Part 1) No prior qualifications are required however it is highly recommended that students have some experience of group exercise to music. There is also an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and candidates should have basic skills pitched at level 2.
(Part 2) Completion of Part 1, or a REPs recognised Level 2 Qualification in Gym Instruction.
Course duration:
(Part 1) One week. This is the first week of the full time Certificate in Gym Instruction (Cert GI), which can be taken at any Premier Training venue.
(Part 2) Six days over two weeks (First week - Monday to Thursday, second week Thursday – Friday) 8.30am to 5.30pm each day
