Course content
The Certificate in Movement Based Flexibility covers the following areas:
- Introduction to MBF – key movement drivers, mobility & stability, muscle activation, movement and gravity
- Flexibility Physiology – the integrated function of the muscle spindles and golgi tendon organs
- MBF Methods of Application – 3-dimensional static flexibility, self myofascial release, CRAC, weak link activation and 3-dimensional dynamic flexibility
- MBF Programme Design – addressing muscle imbalances and integrating improved muscle balance in dynamic movement
- The Web MBF training system
This course is designed for home study through Premier’s CD / DVD-ROM distance learning programme. Students will also practice movement based flexibility in a 1-day live workshop.

Entry requirements:
The Certificate in Movement Based Flexibility is an advanced course for established health & fitness professionals – so students will need a REPs accredited Level 3 Advanced Instructor Award.
Course duration:
As with any distance learning course, students work at their own pace - but the course typically lasts between 3 - 6 months.

Once you have enrolled onto the course and have worked your way through all the necessary work, you may choose which workshops or assessments you would like to attend. These are subject to availability and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
