This course provides a pathway to working within the area of exercise referral. Those keen to pursue such a route will be given an excellent insight into the exercise referral process as well as various disease states and their implications for exercise.
To be safe and effective when prescribing exercise for many of the populations studied in the course, a significant level of knowledge of their condition and the ability to apply that knowledge in a practical exercise situation will be vital. The course will give you the necessary level of qualification and the confidence to enable you to work with these potentially more demanding and sensitive groups.

Entry Requirements
You must hold, as a minimum, a REPs Level 2 qualification to attend this course. A qualification in fitness testing is desirable but not essential.
Length and Format of Course
The course consists of an online home study start date 2 weeks prior to a 1 day workshop. There is then an assessment day approximately 3 weeks after the workshop.
Assessment
2* multiple choice theory exams and a practical assessment (these take palce on the third workshop day). Case study to be completed 3 weeks after the third workshop day.
*you will only need to sit one theory exam if you hold a REPs level 3 Personal Training qualification.
