The Premier Certificate in Resisted Movement Training (RMT) uses cutting-edge information and technology, it builds and expands on the principles taught in the Diploma in Personal Training and/or Certificate in Advanced Personal Training, thereby enabling you to enhance your clients’ training experiences and maximise training outcomes.
The course utilises the unique Premier Web Training System©, which provides a periodised approach to functional resistance and flexibility training. The Web provides the learner with 144 exercises already mapped in a progressive manner across six human movement patterns. This system will allow trainers to analyse posture, correct muscle imbalances and movement dysfunctions whilst supporting a progressive approach toward the performance of advanced resistance based exercises.

Course Content
- Static and dynamic postural assessment
- Movement-based anatomy – stability and the inner and outer units
- Corrective exercise – identifying muscle imbalances, posture and balance
- Flexibility – principles and methods of stretching
- Movement pattern-based programme design – training principles and the ‘Web Training System'
Entry Requirements
You must hold a Premier Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instruction or equivalent to attend this course.
Length and Format of Course
The RMT is a CD-ROM home learning product and is supported by a 1 day live workshop. The length of the course will vary according to levels of application and available time. 2 - 4 months is a realistic time frame for completion of the course.
Assessment
The course has a series of online quizzes, plus an online exam upon completion of the home learning. Learners will also be required to attend and pass a live practical assessment to complete their study.
