This is a comprehensive workshop on using the foam roll in self-myofascial release. The course covers everything from the theoretical understanding of how the foam roller works to the practical application of this amazing tool.
The course explores the rationale and methodology for using self-myofascial release to enhance flexibility, increase the overall function of the kinetic chain, elevate performance in whatever sport of lifestyle situation and reduce the overall possibility of injury!
This course explores why static stretching alone can’t return your muscle imbalances to their correct muscle length-tension rate. It gives you the knowledge and strategies for correcting these problems and what can be done to eliminate the return of their muscular dysfunctions.
This course outlines what information should be collected before a client uses a foam roller and how we use that information once we have it – and how we protect ourselves against litigation from clients through paying attention to detail.
We look at kinetic chain concepts – how it effects the functional unit, neuromuscular control and anatomy, as well as various types of phenomenon’s that take place in the body through muscular imbalance.
We examine the importance of education - not only for the trainer but also the client - and how this is essential to building and growing a strong business.
Included in the course is a look at the various types of rollers that we may consider using for clients, and how each will affect their overall response.
The detailed PowerPoint Audio lecture and accompanying video clips fully demonstrate the correct way to use this tool. The information in this course will help you understand the causes of postural dysfunction and how to correct them in order for clients to function efficiently in their lives. We cover a variety of specific scenarios and common occurrences in the human body that may apply to you and your clients!
