Reap the rewards of kettlebell training
If you are into your health and fitness then you have more than likely heard of Kettlebells. Kettlebells are currently a very fashionable piece of kit appearing in many gyms. They are fantastic for improving body composition, developing strength, power, flexibility, CV fitness and so much more.
Essentially, Kettlebells are a Russian dumbbell that looks like a canon ball with a handle on. The Kettlebell is steeped in history and is in fact a very old training tool. However, up until now this exciting training medium had not appeared in the mainstream health and fitness industry. This situation is rapidly changing with the growing appeal of Kettlebells being reflected in its increasing usage amongst athletes, sports teams, mixed martial artists, strength athletes, power lifters, military forces, including special forces, celebrities, personal trainers and everyday gym users.
The Kettlebell is an awesome piece of kit for a personal trainer. Kettlebells offer:
- a multi-functional training tool that is compact, easy to transport and relatively cheap
- a huge variety of exercises and exercise progressions for clients to try
- a training alternative that is effective, fun and different for clients
- impressive and eye-catching techniques that in most cases can be learnt quickly by clients
Many Kettlebell lifts are full body movements that require strength and the ability to express that strength at speed. In this context Kettlebell lifts are highly functional but at the same time can at first appear a little intimidating to the potential user. However, with some targeted instruction you will soon master these techniques and be able to convey them with skill and confidence. This can only increase your attractiveness to potential clients while your existing clients can revel in the thrill of a Kettlebell swing and the admiring glances they will attract from other gym users.
There are many reasons and benefits to using Kettlebells but still relatively few informed and competent exponents of this art of training. So get yourself trained early and reap the rewards of heading up the resurgence of Kettlebells.
