Premier Training fights unemployment with offer for aspiring fitness professionals
Premier Training International has announced that it will offer unemployed local people in Newcastle the chance to develop a career in the fitness industry with a heavily discounted fitness certificate at the Newcastle Sport Central venue.
Having already opened two new venues in the north-east this year, the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing, a crucial qualification course in becoming a recognised fitness instructor, will be available at the Sport Central venue for the heavily discounted price of £99 – a discount of nearly 90%.
With unemployment and JSA claimants in Newcastle significantly above the average for the country, the offer reflects Premier’s commitment to demonstrating that the courses they provide can offer a genuine opportunity to forge a rewarding career within the health and fitness industry.
Debra Stuart, Chief Executive Officer at Premier Global, commented: "We recognise that the north east has a growing interest in health and fitness careers - which is why we have invested so heavily in the area with our two new venues at Sport Central and Teesside. This opportunity is simply the next stage of our investment. We know the employment market is still tough, but we are wholly committed to showing that a great fitness career is well within the reach of everyone, and is a particularly strong option for those who are unemployed."
She continued: "Taking the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing will put people in the local community on a definite career pathway, and one that is rich with opportunity and variety. We really hope that we can play our part in getting some of the unemployed in the community back into meaningful work"
Premier will work with both, Job Centre Plus and Connexions to promote the opportunity in the community. To find out more about the discounted course, and how to apply, contact David Rayner (North East Development Manager) on 07725 243746.
