Ben Pratt - Fitness Trainer
Ben has worked in the fitness industry for over 11 years. He has a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science and is an Advanced Personal Trainer. He has been instrumental in guiding and kick-starting several hundred personal training careers. Since working for Premier he has been actively involved in shaping the functional training trends within the fitness industry in the UK and has also been involved in the UK's National Standards. He has spear-headed Premier's research and development team and is a Master Trainer of Premier's Resisted Movement Training and a contributor in the new programme: Movement Based Flexibility. Ben is currently Premier's lead presenter to the Health and Fitness Industry. He also specialises in traditional nutrition and is a Metabolic Typing Advisor.
Helen Brown - Sports Massage Therapy Trainer
Helen has a background in Clinical Sports Massage Therapy. She initially studied Swedish Body Massage at Bath College which led to further studies in Anatomy and Physiology and Sports Therapy. Her career as a Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist led her to establish and manage a GP referral gym. She joined Premier in 2003 as a Sports Masssage Therapy lecturer and now enjoys sharing the knowledge and experience gained in the industry, inspiring students with the rewards of success.
Ryan James - Fitness and Nutrition Lecturer
Ryan has a background in elite level Ironman triathlon and national level sprint track cycling. He studied for a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science at Portsmouth University, and Sports Performance and Coach Education at Bath University. He went on to work as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Manager before switching to a career in Personal Training and University Lecturing. In 2006 he joined Premier as a Fitness and Nutrition Lecturer. Ryan enjoys writing, promoting and teaching his own workshops / courses in nutrition and functional training and also enjoys surfing, kite surfing, and wake boarding when the water’s flat. His wealth of experience in the health and fitness industry and his desire to share this experience makes him a valued member of the diverse teaching team at Head Office.
Sean Corvin - Fitness Trainer
Sean has a background in and great enthusiasm for the bio-mechanics of human movement. Having run a successful rehabilitation and conditioning clinic, his extensive experience ranges from improving the bio-mechanics of his clients' golf game to relieving their back pain and from keeping the elderly active to the conditioning of elite athletes.
Stewart McKinnon - Centre Manager
Service life initiated Stewart's interest in therapy and training. He has developed a personal training and sports therapy business over a four-year period and has been involved with a diversity of teams, notably the Scottish triathlon squad, which meant extensive travel in the UK and even further afield to Holland, Spain & Hawaii. His own "athletic" career has seen him participate in several Ironman triathlons and ultra-distance mountain events and, more recently, Scotland's 95-mile West Highland Way race. Stuart's extensive experience provides an excellent learning opportunity for students at Premier's Wiltshire venue.
