About this course

Corrective Exercise is one of the most important components of a comprehensive exercise programme.

Developed in response to the growing need for professionals with the ability to assist clients experiencing musculoskeletal impairments, muscle imbalances, and/or rehabilitation concerns, the NASM Corrective Exercise Specialisation (NASM-CES) provides you with the advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully work with clients suffering from these injuries.

Learn to identify these dysfunctions, master the Corrective Exercise Continuum (CEx), and create an integrated corrective exercise training programme to help clients remain injury free. Corrective Exercise isn’t designed just for clients in poor physical condition – the programme can also apply to clients that are already in good physical condition but want to do more.

You’ll bring the added value of making sure they are able to do their very best, maintain movement efficiency and help avoid injury as they challenge their bodies and push the limits.

NASM-CES students are encouraged to continue their advanced learning with the Performance Enhancement Specialisation (NASM-PES) programme.

Matthew understood my needs from the start, acting quickly, efficiently and resourcefully. When I first called I was pretty much certain on joining a high competitor, however Matthew quickly persuaded me otherwise. He has an excellent understanding of all the courses and managed to give me alot more information than the other company and thats after speaking to them on quite a few occasions. He made the process simple and easy for me to understand and I felt very comfortable talking to him, a down to earth and very easy to get along with gentleman. A credit to your team and I just couldn't go without showing my appreciation.

I was very impressed with NASM’s personal training certification. The course was detailed, comprehensive and evidence-based. The Optimum Performance Training (OPT) model is systematic and progressive, taking you from the fundamentals of human physiology and movement to designing safe, effective exercise programs based on clients’ individual goals, needs and abilities. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would highly recommend this system as a science-based route to becoming a successful personal trainer.
