The NASM Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) program has set the industry standard in personal training certification. Developed with NASM’s proprietary Optimum Performance Training™ (OPT™) model, the industry’s first comprehensive training system founded on evidence-based research, you’ll be empowered to design exercise programs to help anyone reach their fitness goals. Presented in an easy-to-understand format, all NASM-CPT content is practical and application-focused, meaning you’ll put this knowledge to use in the real world.
This course provides a natural progression to NASM’s Performance Enhancement and Corrective Exercise Specialisation courses.
Not for complete beginners, those taking the course should have at least a Level 3 diploma or high level of working knowledge of the fitness industry.
With the NASM-CPT program, you’ll master complex scientific principles and be prepared to challenge the certification exam in order to enter the fitness industry with the skills, knowledge, and techniques to change lives.
With the NASM CPT, you’ll earn a level four equivalent qualification, professionally endorsed by CIMSPA (10 Developmental CPD points) and recognized by AIQ, along with an NCCA accredited USA based certification. The knowledge and skills you’ll learn will build upon the Level 3 Diploma PT.
Be exam ready by utilising all of NASM’s industry leading content including interactive learning modules, virtual lectures, client scenarios and sample workouts, plus a bank of practice exams and quizzes. You’ll learn about human movement science, assessments, training concepts, program design, nutrition and client interactions. At the end of your course your knowledge will be assessed independently at one of our many testing sites around the UK.
This course is hosted entirely online via the NASM US website. There is also a mandatory in-person exam held at the conclusion of the course.
