The Golf Fitness Specialisation will make you the go-to expert for anyone who loves to hit the links. It was developed to provide the knowledge and skills to help clients improve overall golf performance. With it, you will learn how to teach clients how to lower scores and prevent-golf related injuries as well as perform both golf-specific and health-related fitness assessments. Additionally, you will learn how to implement integrated training approaches that are specific to golf into your normal exercise routines.

Course Curriculum

A Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training, an NASM-CPT qualification, or a high level of working knowledge of the fitness industry is recommended.

Chapter 1: Introduction to Golf Fitness
Learn about common injuries and the physiological demands of golf, and understand the components of an integrated training program.

Chapter 2: Human Movement
Understand the concept of functional multiplanar biomechanics, motor learning and motor control, and be able to describe the biomechanics of a golf swing.

Chapter 3: Golf-Specific Assessment
Learn the components of an integrated golf fitness assessment, be able to administer a health history questionnaire, and understand how posture relates to golf performance and how to assess it.

Chapter 4: Flexibility Training for Golf Performance
Be able to explain the effects of muscle imbalances on the human movement system and differentiate between different types of flexibility techniques.

Chapter 5: Core and Balance Training for Golf Performance
Learn about the importance of core and balance training and design programs for clients.

Chapter 6: Resistance and Cardiorespiratory Training for Golf Performance
Learn about and be able to design a resistance and cardiorespiratory training program for clients.

Chapter 7: Golf Injuries and Reconditioning Considerations
Understand common golf injuries and how to decrease the risk of injury with exercise.

Chapter 8: Program Design Principles and Application
Learn how to improve golf performance with individualized program design strategies and understand the training variables involved.

Chapter 9: Business Development
Familiarize yourself with marketing strategies to increase business and find an ideal workplace as a golf fitness professional.

The final exam consists of 100 questions and you must score 70% or higher to pass.

You have 365 days from the date of purchase or date of enrollment key activation.

The exam is completed online through your NASM student portal. You have 3 initial attempts. If you fail all 3 exam attempts, a retest can be purchased.

You must get a 70% of higher to successfully pass the exam.
