To the extent possible, Premier attempts to keep personal information you in electronic form. You may be required to submit some information in paper form or may have done so in the past. As a general rule the only documentation we keep through which you could be identified are your health-screening questionnaire, payment plan documents directly between you and Premier, if any, and your portfolios of work, to the extent required by governmental agencies or oversight organisations, such as the Awarding Body. These documents are kept in secure storage at all times. Learners are entitled to check that these documents are kept confidential.

The Data We Collect About You.

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).


We distinguish between the information we collect from users of our Services (“Service User”) and data that we collect from visitors to our websites (“Visitors”).

From Service Users, we may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows (“Service User Data”):

  • Outside Sources information includes information provided by Your Institution(s) might provide us with information or forms that relate to your use of the Services, your advancement through the Services or funding for the Services.
  • Financial Data includes bank account and payment card details.
  • Technical Data metadata generated by the use of the Services and certain data collected by automated means, such as your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use when interacting with the Services.   • Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preference.

From Visitors, we collect personal information provided to us outside of our Services through the channels described above (“Visitor Data”). Similarly, learning data, assessment scores and certification status kept in Premier systems may not be changed by you, although you should contact us if you believe such data is not accurate.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may retain your information for as long as your account is active, for at least twenty-four (24) months thereafter, or as long as is reasonably necessary to provide you with our Services or as needed for other lawful purposes. We may retain cached or archived copies of your information. We may be required to retain some of your data for a longer period of time because of various laws and regulations or because of contractual obligations. Please note that in order to fulfil contractual obligations with the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), we will retain all externally funded learner information for 7 years beyond the completion or drop date of each learner’s program and in order to meet ESF match-funding requirements we will retain funded learner documentation and information until at least 31 December 2030 (subject to being extended).


We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy and safety of children. Our Services are not intended for children under 16 years of age.
